His original background was in the Food industry where he was a Director of a number of companies. He later developed his own food marketing and distribution business which he sold to a large multinational. He entered the Financial Services Industry in 1990 and developed his own Financial Services business trading as McNamara & Associates. He qualified as a Financial Adviser in 1993 and developed further expertise in Taxation through the Irish Taxation Institute. 				Patrick Costigan QFA, TMITI Manager – Life, Pensions and Investment Patrick Costigan joined McNamara and Associates in January 2003 after a successful 9 year career in Scottish Provident Ireland Ltd, A leading Life Assurance company at that time. He is a Qualified Financial Adviser with over 14 years experience in the financial services industry and member of the Life Insurance Association in Ireland. Patrick specialises in giving clients Independent Impartial Advice on all areas of Life Assurance, Serious Illness Protection, Pensions and Investments/Savings Products. 				Johnny McNamara B.Sc (hons) QFA Manager - Business Development Johnny joined McNamara & Associates in 2004 having completed a four year degree in Business Management. Since joining, Johnny has become a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) ) through the Insurance Institute of Ireland. He now specializes in providing advice in all areas including, Tax, Mortgaging, Life, Pensions and investment. Johnny is currently further developing his expertise in Taxation through the Institute of Taxation in Ireland. Johnny takes responsibility for all aspects of Business Development in McNamara & Associates as well as providing comprehensive financial advice to individual clients. 				Julie McNamara QFA Manager – Mortgage Advice Services Julie commenced her career in 1996 when she joined the Irish Permanent, where she quickly became an expert in all aspects of arranging mortgages for customers within the lending institution's environment. Julie left Irish Permanent in 1999, and joined Eloan, a large Australian Internet broker service. Julie later went on to work with Citibank, a large multi-national bank. In 2001, Julie joined McNamara & Associates where she took charge of developing and managing the Mortgage Intermediary Services Division of the company. 				Terry Abbott, FCCA Manager - Accountancy Services Terry joined McNamara & Associates in January 2007 and is the manager for Accountancy Services . Terry previously worked in various accountancy practices within Dublin over a 10 year period and gained considerable experience dealing with a wide range of clients. Terry is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and has developed his expertise in taxation through the Institute of Taxation in Ireland.
